PIG'S CHRISTMAS

...for all you Pig fans....

 ....road trip to Eastern Canada 

started a bit too early for the Pig....

(now on holidays therefore dressed in civies)

....two happy faces....

....too much turkey....

....a very thoughtful person decided the Pig needed a friend -

now referred to as Piglet's step-sister or 

the sista from another mista....

....anxious to be home safely again....

ROAD TRIP CHRISTMAS ADVENT(ture)

....early morning departure - clear day - no traffic....

....dinner out with the kids....

....non-functioning heater? No problem!....

....conducting  business from a distance....

...with a little help...

 ....here sir, let me send that one.... 

....found the perfect tree....

....a little help with the final touch... 

 

....toasting the accomplishment with champagne (for us) 

& sparkling apple juice (for the little people)....

 ....delicious dinner with Francois' now famous Turkey-in-a-Bag....

....followed by Bûche de Noël....

 ....impressively patient kids can now open gifts....

 ....and play with them....

 ....some assembly required....

....Francois isn't the only accomplished chef in the family - 

homemade waffles were yummy!...

...Systems Architect perhaps 

doesn't mean being able to easily construct a 

gingerbread train but with the help of his project manager 

the results were remarkable....

....long trip home was uneventful..still no traffic...

and a little snow....

...all made so much more enjoyable with some great tunes

Major Pig has finally returned from his latest adventure.  

 He most recently spent a week 'assisting' at a reconnaissance mission for a future exercise in North Carolina.

After a quick reset, he headed out again for a weekend exercise at CFB Valcartier, Quebec.

But his mission isn't complete as tomorrow he leaves for yet another trip - this time to CFB Shilo.

His fan base continues to increase with each passing day.  To date he is being viewed in ten countries on five continents and communicated with in three languages (not including Pig Latin). There are daily inquiries about his welfare and it's clogging up our inbox so we have decided to give him his own email address: majpig@gmail.com.   He will do his best to respond to all communication but keep in mind he is a very busy little pig.

CLONING THE PIG

Pig left this morning for a day in Shawinigan to help Francois set up his new office.  It’s best that he not be here while I ponder this dilemma. 

It has recently come to my attention that rumours are circulating about a request to clone Major Pig.  I am flattered that the little guy has become so popular.  The post about Le P’tit Pig has the most page views thus far and his audience now spans nine countries and four continents – with fans as far away as Australia.

But clone the PIG? .....what about the legal ramifications? ....what about moral implications?  Yes, members of the lower order of our great animal kingdom have been duplicated in the past – frogs, even cats.   

 There was the famous ‘Dolly’ the sheep in Scotland....

                            

and in recent years Canada’s first clone at McGill University, Montreal (and a pig at that!)....

But it’s Major Pig. He’s one-of-a-kind.  If there were ever duplication it could never have the rank of Major...maybe Captain.....  but not artillery

– would have to be infantry...maybe another branch of the military altogether. I personally would rather create a Private Pooh or Ensign Eeyore... 

 

........but there can never be another Major Pig.
