On the weekend Francois and I enjoyed a very entertaining evening dining with two special people. The conversation was lively, the meal was superb and the service was outstanding at the Restaurant au Biniou.
(http://www.restaurantbiniou.com/ binioù means bagpipe in the Breton language (Bretagne, north-west region of France).
The menu gastronomique (a five service spread) was amazing - from the médaillon de foie gras au torchon et pain brioché maison, bisque de homard à l’armagnac, to the crêpe Bretonnne farcie aux fruits de mer and crème brûlée à l’orange with sorbet aux pommes et calvados between courses.
We also sampled a pot chocolat laced with fleur de sel – an interesting combination of sweet and salty.....
........and crêpe bretonne sucre à la crème, noix et crème glacée.
We both decided that we won’t have to (or more accurately, shouldn’t) eat for at least a week.
