Normally not a problem but Francois will be on a 3-day exercise in Compiègne at the time we need to check out which presents a logistics problem for me - remember the 4 suitcases, 2 carry-ons, one large sac-a-main and a back pack?
Found it! Right across the street from us is a little hotel that just happens to have one room available for those last four days - very lucky because as of the beginning of August an new wave of tourists has decended on the city.
Will be very sorry to leave our little piece of heaven but will continue to enjoy it for the time we are here. Easy to get pictures to post - just have to look out our window. Change-over will be easy. And la Madame was very nice saying I could bring my bags or the bags of monsieur over in advance and she will put them in storage ( this is the word she actually used - stor-adge) . People here are so nice!
Hotel Parc Saint-Severin
There is a little penthouse suite on the seventh floor with balcony and I am hoping by some stroke of luck that this will be available. I remain hopeful.
