Palais de Tokyo & UNESCO Garden of Peace

As it was such a beautiful day I wanted to visit two sites.  Time is passing far too quickly - so much left to see, so few days.

I first travelled to the Palais de Tokyo which proved to be a most unusual experience - I witnessed a chainsaw sculpture contest.  This is more of an art centre - very minimal in structure but a very vibrant place.

A part of the centre was closed for renovation but the wing that was open to the public was an interesting display of contemporary conceptual art.

Next on my agenda was the Garden of Peace on the grounds of the UNESCO world headquarters.

The garden is the first of its kind to be created not by a gardener but by the Japanese sculptor Isamu Nogushi.

So very beautiful.....the pictures speak for themsleves.........
